Buffalo Wings at Bodean’s

Buffalo Wings
Before

Damn straight I like Buffalo wings and as far as I know Bodean’s is the best place in London for ‘em. The ribs and hot dogs ain’t bad either. Honestly, their wings don’t really come all that close to my favourite wings back in the States, but they more than suffice. And, every so often I even have to deal with a bout of some serious hankering for a plate of Bodean’s wings (with their extra-hot Diablo sauce please!).

I’m only familiar with the Poland St/Soho Bodean’s, but I’ve heard good things about their other locations. In addition to the yummy food, Bodean’s does a great job playing lots of BBQ appropriate tunesc (Skynard, Stones, ZZ Top), and I’m impressed at how spot-on the casual American atmosphere is without having to deal with any kitsch-y overindulgence or terribly saccharine service.

Back in June, the kind folks at Qype were actually cool enough to ‘get meaty’ with members of the Qype Meat Up group and took them all out to Bodean’s for steak. Uhm, that’s awesome. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend, but just knowing about the event helped me to realize that it’s certainly worth my while to keep track of Qype’s many groups and to join the ones that interest me most.

    [...] get me wrong; I like BoDean’s (especially their wings).  But they could learn a thing or twelve from world famous master of the pit, Big Bob Gibson.  [...]

    I’m in the US Military and a man who loves food. Stationed here for 6 month and never found a place that did good Buffalo wings. Then by chance went passed this wing place in Lewisham called stickywings. They did the only wings I have ever had outside of the states, that tasted as good as back home.

    I decided to give stickywings a try as it is only a 15min drive away. I had to wait about 20min for 20 wings with a blue cheese dip. I could barely resist the temptation of the wings as I drove home. They smelt fantastic,but knew the sauce would cover everything in my 4 month old car if i had given in. I really don’t ever remember my mouth watering so much in anticipation of food. Got home, plated up, devoured! They were stunning!!! Even the blue cheese dip had chunky bits of blue cheese in. I have NEVER had good buffalo wings in london…until now.
    I’ve been back 3 more times in the past week, is it actually possible to be addicted to buffalo wings???
    A+++

    Bodeans food isn’t that good, When we were in the US, we loved buffalo wings. The one’s at Bodeans are ok, but nothing special.
    May give sticky wings a try,as the other reviews say their good there.

    OMG!
    We tried stickywings, and yes they are very good. This is how I remember them in Florida.
