Qype Ladies (Indoor) Garden Party

As I will be away in Rome getting wed, I like to think (or probably more accurately, delude myself) that this event has been created for the purpose of the Qype girls assembling to mourn the imminent slipping through their collective fingers of one of London’s most eligible bachelors. Or, maybe they just want a shindig without loads of blokes there ruining it by talking about football, the Ashes and then spending the remainder of the night ogling their curves.

Whatever the reasoning, it promises to be another great event. Perhaps you’re not yet aware that Betty Blythe is the most charming tea rooms and pantry that you may ever discover. By upholding traditional values of service and filling their enterprise with the finest goods, they mark themselves well and truly on the ‘thing to do in London’ map.

On my first excursion, I would have happily settled for the delights on offer at ground floor level. Then, I was taken by the hand and led downstairs to the basement with its cosy alcoves (one is pictured above) and tranquil atmosphere, and chanced upon all the joys of an English country garden without being subjected to the mercy of our temperamental climate.

So this event, hoping to galvanise and inspire the females of the nation in a manner not seen since the ingenious Sun’s page 7 fella, will be an evening of indulgence and fun for those ravishing Qype ladies; and without ruining the surprise with too much information, word on the street is that it may include a riveting and delicious chocolate workshop and hopefully a lecture from a WI type delivering an informative antidote to ladette culture….
