Guru Event: Gelato Master Class, Dri Dri, 8th March

Gelato is without doubt king of all cold desserts. Sorbet? Not doing it for me. Boring ol’ ice cream? OK, if it’s got a flake in and there’s a beach nearby. Frozen yoghurt? It all has it’s place (and if you’re offering, I’m not going to turn it down), but it’s just not gelato. Creamy creamy unhealthy wonderful gelato. It’s sexiness on a spoon. I want all the gelato I can get my mits on, and it seems you Londoners feel the same way.

So being the lovely people we are, we’ve arranged a gelato master class for you at Notting Hill’s Dri Dri. They opened in summer of last year and we’re itching to take you guys to check it out. The use organic milk from local farms, and the most natural flavours they can. The Granny Smith apples are from France, mandarin oranges from Spain and or course, lemons from Sicily. This is fancy stuff.

OK, so it’s good grub. But you want to make it as well as eat it, right? Well there’s space for ten of you to come along on the 8th March, have a class and try lots of tasty iced treats along the way. You’ll have to fight me for any pistachio flavours, and I’m quite canny with an ice cream spoon.

Want to come along? You know the drill. Just hop over to the Qypers Love Events forum and let us know you’re up for it.

See you on the 8th!

Win! A Cocktail Masterclass at Zenna Bar

Zenna Bar

Remember last week, when we featured Soho’s Zenna Bar in the ‘First to Review’ slot of our weekly Qype Does London newsletter? Well, this week we’ve got something even more exciting up our sleeves: a personal cocktail masterclass for two with award-winning  mixologist Dan Thomson.

Exclusively available to our one lucky winner and their friend, the session will include being taught how to mix some of the unusual cocktails on Zenna’s menu, followed by a cocktail each whipped up by the expert and a selection of delicious canapés from the Red Fort kitchen.

Zenna’s exotic Indian cocktail menu features drinks made with cardamom, lemongrass, ginger and other spices, and includes a spiced chocolate orange martini and the world’s hottest cocktail, The Illiana.

To enter, all you need to is email us with the subject line ‘Mix me up’ before 9am next Monday 28th February. The winner will be notified the following day.
